Chester Arnold

Chester Arnolds work is amazing. He's paintings look so real I had a hard time believing they weren't real pictures. One artwork that really caught my attention was "They will be done" it was painted in 2006 with oil and linen. It was a collection of the San Jose Museum, gift of the Lipman Family Foundation. (Deborah and Andy Rappaport). The painting had a lot of negativity shown by dark colors but also had bright colors. People were fighting and killing each other. It also had people digging holes as if to make graves for the dead. There are police and army people arresting civilians. The painting had a lot of meaning it showed how people did not take advantage of things and just fought to make things better. This piece of artwork was amazing.
